Kia Ora Club Members
The Football World Cup story was again in the headlines this week with the Congrats parade through the streets of Wellington. As often quoted in the media - its a great time to be a football fan in NZ.
Don't forget to get along to Red Sox Idol on Saturday night - and check out the NEW cellphone number for the Courtesy Van. You can text or call to make your bookings from 12 noon on the Saturday for trips to/from the Clubrooms. Ticket just $10
The Club AGM is usually scheduled for the first Thursday in October - just 10 weeks away. As always your Club needs fresh blood for its Committee and there are some key positions likely to be available. As well as helping your Club this can also be a great personal development opportunity. Give it some thought and if not for you, then encourage someone who you think might be of value and be interested.
The Club Members Draw last Saturday night was again NOT won - Richard Day from the Wolves Mens Football Team was absent, so it jackpots this week to $400. Remember you can win just by being at the clubrooms from 6-7pm !
The attendance at your Clubrooms last Saturday night was obviously affected by the weather and the All Blacks test match in Wellington and a nasty dose of apathy which may be doing the rounds, so heres hoping that the massive Club Membership Draw combined with Red Sox Idol will have your place rocking this Saturday night - you CAN make a difference just by being there and bringing your team mates.

Ray Hart has until recently been playing football with the 1929s since their inception, last Century, including having his boys playing alongside him and he also has an extensive involvement in motorsport particularly karting. A tribute dinner is being held for Ray by the local motorsport community on Saturday 7 August at the Silks Lounge at Awapuni Racecourse and club members who know Ray and his family are invited to attend - for more details please contact Sam MacNeill on 027 293 5534 or send an email to: trs19@xtra.co.nz

RED SOX IDOL - ELIMINATION KARAOKE - SATURDAY 24 JULY
Your Club has some great Events and this one is right up there. The Mens A's Football team host this annual event and do a great job - setting up a wee stage platform, smoke screens, judging panels - the complete package.
Tickets @ $10 ea are now available - contact any member of the A's Team
There will be a light supper and a Courtesy Van - bookings from midday as below
This is a great night not to be missed - the Talent on display is awesome and some of the performances have been spellbinding . . . remember Minty in Year 1, Virge doing Freddie and Waynes Holly Holy anthem !

As usual a 12 seater courtesy van will be available for travel to and from the Clubrooms for the Red Sox Idol Nite. Cost is $5 per person. Bulk rates can be negotiated with the driver where a number of people are going to the same destination. Bookings can be made from 12 noon on Saturday
