The 2010 FIFA World Cup news just keeps getting better for the All Whites with the news this morning that Ryan Nelsen and Mark Paston have been named in a Best Ten Players at the World Cup Poll - BRILLIANT !!
Better sports news for the Club this week with the Mens Football 1st Team quickly recovering from their horrific Chatham Cup experience and achieving a 2-2 draw with 2nd placed Wanganui United. The Womens Football team won their Toby Knockout Trophy match 4-2 against Maycenvale (Hastings) and the Premier 1 Netball Team had a 43-43 draw with 2nd placed Massey. Well Done !
Much better attendance at he Clubrooms last weekend - great to see and thanks to those teams and members that regularly make the effort.
The Club Members Draw was again not struck. Clive Robertson from the Saints is usually at the Clubrooms most Saturday Nights but he had a ballet performance and missed on the draw - he will be gutted !! So this Saturday it jackpots to $250 - You can win just by being at the clubrooms !
Further reminder to Football members that the closing date for full payment of fees is nearing - make sure you and your team are up to date !

Rather than blocking the driveway, it would be appreciated if our gentlemen members could please use the lower car park and make use of the Clubrooms rear entrance. Yes it can get a bit slippery on the grass slope, . . . . . but hey get over it ! |
