Kia Ora Club Members - Wow what a difference a week makes !!
The Olympic RedSox Prem1 Netball Team had a resounding 54-33 win last night, the Womens Football Team had a 2-0 win on Sunday and the Mens Football Team did themselves and the Club proud with 2 good home wins being a 2-0 league win over Napier City Rovers on the Saturday and a 2-0 Chatham Cup win over Maycenvale (Hastings) on the Monday.
Good Luck to the Mens team this coming Saturday, for as luck would have it, they now play Maycenvale away in the league next Saturday.
The Club also had a mens team in the Federation Knockout Cup, which played away to Taradale on Monday. Because of exams and player unavailability, and to avoid a hefty default fine, the Club fielded a composite team of players from the Rovers, Rangers, A's and Thirsties teams. The team lost 0-5 (0-4 HT) against a very well drilled Eastern Premiership Team largely made up of players from the Napier City Rovers squad that won the National League several years ago. Many thanks to the players that made themsleves available.
