Gidday Club Members
Talk about the commentators curse. Having not lost for 18 months the Mens 1st Football Team lost their 2nd game in a row last Saturday, 0-3 to Wanganui and then our Premier 1 Netball Team lost their top of the table clash on Tuesday night, 38-51 to Feilding. Such are the joys of sport ! Our Womens Football team had a 4-1 win so at least we had some good news ! Good Luck to each of these teams for their next games as they endeavour to get back to their winning ways.
Well we promised you pandemonium, mayhem and FUN and thats exactly what happened at the Annual Bar Tab Nite. We had over 90 entries for the Rock Paper Scissors Champs and the 2010 Champ ended up being the young daughter of one of our Netball players - details below. We had considerably fewer entries for the Air Guitar Champs and whilst it started out very timid the Champ soon displayed some table dancing form to steal the occassion !
Congratulations to the Thirsties on their 2nd ever (?) win over the Wrinklies last Saturday, ably assisted by the awarding of 3 penalties no less !!
Thanks to the support from MEGA Mitre10 we have an easy way for Teams to raise funds - details below.

Phil Jennens from the Rangers Football Team will be regretting his decision to go home and finish knitting his scarf as his number came up in the Weekly Members Cash Draw - so this week it will be $100.

CLUBROOMS DUTY ROSTER
Like every game the management of the Clubrooms each Saturday is a Team Event. When each Club Team takes their turn in clearing and cleaning the glasses and tables etc it makes for a more enjoybale atmosophere and saves the Club money.

Murray Burling has established a new Futsal League. It is currently up and running on Wednesday nights and further leagues and nights are being planned for:

NEW CLUB MEMBERSHIP MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE
Thanks to the team at techitezy, the Club now has use of a membership mangement software package called ClubMember. Members can LogIn from the link on the Club website and self manage their personal and contact details as well as see the transactions and balance of their membership account. We have access and use of the lower car park at our Clubrooms.
Rather than blocking the driveway, it would be appreciated if our genteleman members could please use the lower car park and make use of the rear entrance. Yes it can get a bit slippery on the grass slope, . . . . . but hey get over it ! |
