Congratulations to the Mens Football 1st Team on their winning the Western Premiership and doing it undefeated to boot. They now qualify to play the winner of the Eastern Premiership (Hawkes Bay & Poverty Bay), with the winner then playing the winner of the Capital Federation Premier League (Wellington, Wairarapa, Kapiti) to determine which team then gets to play the last team in the 2009 Central League (Central & Capital Federations) for a place in the 2010 Central League !! The games are played on a home and away basis starting with an away game vs Maycenvale (Eastern Premiers) on Saturday 22 August. The Capital Premier winner is Tawa and the last placed team in the 2009 Central League is Wellington United. This Saturday they take on Wanganui City in the semi-final of the Easter Cup Knockout competition.
Congratulations also to the Rovers and Thirsties mens football teams on their winning their respective leagues.
Members are reminded that YOUR Clubs financial capability for the year is based on each team providing regular support to the Clubrooms through the winter season. All it takes is for a couple of hours support each Saturday for YOUR teammates, YOUR team and YOUR Club. Each team is eligible for a Player of the Day Award where the recipient receives a Meal Voucher to be redeemed at the Rose n Crown !
The Club Membership Draw amount this Saturday is $250 this Saturday so with the Fillys Nite Trots being hosted by Netball you and your teams mates need to be there !!! |

From time to time in your Club newsletter we will publish a picture of Club Players and Supporters. If the person(s) is/are at the Clubrooms the following Saturday for the weekly Club Prizegiving with their team AND they can answer a sports trivia question they will qualify for a prize using the "Irish Raffle System".

Each Saturday at the Clubrooms, fill out a Loyalty Slip when you visit the Bar - one slip per night !
All the Slips will go into a draw each night for a prize and then all the winners will go into an end-of-season draw for a bloody neat prize ! |
