CONGRATULATIONS to the Netball A1 team on making the Premier Grade 2 FINAL where they will have the opportunity to retain their 2007 Premier Grade 2 Crown. The game will be played at the B&M Centre on Tuesday September 16 - Lets get a HUGE SUPPORTERS CROWD at the game to help them win !

CONGRATULATIONS also to the Mens Football A's team on their 3-2 win in the top of the table clash against Massey Internationals on Saturday which means they retain their 2007 Mid Central League Crown

GET WELL SOON to the Mens Football 1st team after their disappointing result in the Federation Final last Saturday where they lost 5-1 to Maycenvale. There is a great spirit within this young team most of whom are eligible for the Club U19 team which will be participating in the Upper Hutt Tournament next month. The team had a great run of results for the season to get into the final and will hopefully they will ALL be back next season to continue . . . .

Whilst the wet weather has provided one of the most dusruptive ends ever to a season in memory, we can't really complain as recent previous seasons have been mostly uninterrupted and our grounds are in great condition when compared with other locations e.g. Wellington
A consequence however has been the large number of catch-up league games to be played with several double-header weekends. As a result we have arranged for the Fathers Day Blood Match to be postponed to Saturday 20 September and Memorial Park is available on that day.
So this year, Red Sox Dads get TWO Fathers Days . . . . . . . Your Very Welcome ! |

CLUB MEMBERSHIP
In order to comply with Liquor Licencing laws for Clubs, individualised membership cards are available for personal collection by members from the Clubrooms. Members are asked to carry the cards when at the Clubrooms. The cards include a BarCode which will be used to calculate loyalty points when the new Bar Computer system is introduced (like the Subway card) and we also hope to eventually introduce a loyalty/discount scheme with some of our sponsors |

CLUB DRAW - Saturday 6 September $700
As you will be aware the financial viability of our Club is largely affected by the membership patronage of the Clubrooms and all members are asked to be in attendance from at least 5pm to 7pm each Saturday. Weekly PrizeGiving is at 6pm and Player of the Day Awards are available for every Team, comprising a Drinks Voucher and, provided at least 1/2 the team is in attendance, a Meal Voucher from Rose n Crown. A Membership Club Draw is held every Saturday at 7pm with a minimum Prize Draw of $50 which will Jackpot if not claimed. To be eligible to claim the Draw the selected member must be financial, have their membership card and must have been in the Clubrooms since 6pm. |

From time to time in your Club newsletter we will publish a picture of Club Players and Supporters. If the person(s) is/are at the Clubrooms the following Saturday for the weekly Club Prizegiving with their team AND they can answer a sports trivia question they will qualify for a prize using the "Irish Raffle System".

Whilst we await the new Bar Code system, please fill out a Loyalty Slip when you visit the Bar at your Clubrooms - one slip per night ! All the Slips will go into an end-of-season draw for a bloody neat prize. Last years winners got Corporate Box attendance to the NZ Grand Prix and the V8s at Manfield ! |

FIFA U17 WOMENS WORLD CUP - BEING HELD IN NZ
This event is being hosted in NZ with games being played in Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington & Christchurch. Teams playing in Wellington will be Brazil, England, Korea and a team yet to qualify from Africa. Games are 28 Oct to 16 Nov. Posters will soon be up in the Clubrooms and we will have some flyers available with attendance 'deals' |
