Hi Club Members
Normal service is now being resumed with the email newsletters, so in case you were wondering why you weren't receiving anything, it was "us" not "you". Sorry about the delay ! Having said that, we have been doing some tidying-up with our membership lists so if any of your clubmates are NOT receiving this email newsletter please let us know asap.
We have a new Club Manager starting soon - details in next weeks Newsletter. We also have a Strapping Tape deal coming where supplies will be available from the Clubrooms for purchase at great prices !

DANCING WITH THE THRASHERS - SATURDAY 19 JULY
Last years event was such a success that members were clamouring for a repeat.
So here it is. LATIN dancing and cuisine starting from 7:30pm

- Stu James: Winner of the Annual Rock Paper Scissors Champs held on Bar Tab Nite
- Nagy Family: Winners of the 20th Annual Nagy Fours Darts Trophy (in honour of their Dad) - the same team won the very 1st Trophy - Awesome !
- Marty O'Connor: Winner of the inaugural Texas Hold'Em Poker Champs (Event run by the Wrinklies)
- Tara Perry: Winner of the Annual Red Sox Idol (Event run by the A's)
- the A2 Netball Team, the A's & PlumTech Football Teams for leading their respective leagues and to the Stewarts Powerbase Mens Premier Football Team who are coming 2nd and have just recently beaten the league leaders in an upset result
- to ex Mens 1st Football Team Captain Kyle Clark who is on an extended OE and has apparently just earned a placing in a Spanish Poker Tournament which enables him to be an invited participant to a Las Vegas Tournament with major US$ prizemoney !
- Duncan Scott: who turns 50 on Thursday this week. Maria & Roberto are back running the Club Kitchen with some great value meals. Starting from Saturday 19 July, each team is entitled to 3 free plates of chips provided at least 1/2 the team is in attendance on production of a voucher obtainable from the Bar |

CLUB MEMBERSHIP
In order to comply with Liquor Licencing laws for Clubs, individualised membership cards are available for personal collection by members from the Clubrooms. Members are asked to carry the cards when at the Clubrooms. The cards include a BarCode which will be used to calculate loyalty points when the new Bar Computer system is introduced (like the Subway card) and we also hope to eventually introduce a loyalty/discount scheme with some of our sponsors |

CLUB DRAW
As you will be aware the financial viability of our Club is largely affected by the membership patronage of the Clubrooms and all members are asked to be in attendance from at least 5pm to 7pm each Saturday. Weekly PrizeGiving is at 6pm and Player of the Day Awards are available for every Team, comprising a Drinks Voucher and, provided at least 1/2 the team is in attendance, a Meal Voucher from Rose n Crown. A Membership Club Draw is held every Saturday at 7pm with a minimum Prize Draw of $50 which will Jackpot if not claimed. To be eligible to claim the Draw the selected member must be financial and must have been in the Clubrooms since 6pm.

Following on from the success of the NAGY FOURS, the dates for the Singles & Doubles Championships are being finalised as is the return match with the Albert Sports bar. Tournament Convenor is Steve Fryer - 027 416 9564

RED SOX ANNUAL PRIZEGIVING SATURDAY 27 SEPTEMBER - To be Confirmed
Tickets will be available from Team Managers next month, as the date is still being finalised, but in the meantime it would be appreciated if the 2007 winners could get those Trophies polished and returned to the Clubrooms - Thanks ! This years event will also have a THEME, so start exploring the costume options. Details to follow. |

MYSTERY PERSON TRIVIA PRIZE
Yeah its been a while ! From time to time in your Club newsletter we will publish a picture of Club Players and Supporters. If that person is in attendance at the Clubrooms the following Saturday for the weekly Club Prizegiving with their team AND they can answer a sports trivia question they will qualify for a prize using the "Irish Raffle System". So who are these pictured ?? |

CLUBROOMS LOYALTY SCHEME
Whilst we await the new Bar Code syste, please fill out a Loyalty Slip when you visit the Bar at your Clubrooms - one slip per night ! All the Slips will go into an end-of-season draw for a bloody neat prize. Last years winners got Corporate Box attendance to the NZ Grand Prix and the V8s at Manfield ! |
