WELCOME to Season 2008 !
Wow, where do the years go - its just seems like we were only recently fretting about Y2K, computers failing and planes falling out of the sky and then poof - 7 years have passed !
Trust you all had a great break, safe travels and that the scales and the mirrors have been kind !
2008 promises to be another action packed year with regular events for your fun and entertainment.

HILTON PETONE CUP |
The Club have entered a team into the 2008 Pre-Season Mens Soccer Tournament which is held in Wellington starting mid February. It has been some years since Manawatu teams participated in this prestigous annual tournament with Manawatu United being regular entrants and finalists on several occasions. Good Luck fellas ! |

CLUBROOMS LOYALTY PROMOTION
Thanks to the generous support of Stewarts Powerbase, 3 lucky Club members were drawn at least seasons PrizeGiving and were able to enjoy 2-day double tickets in a corporate lounge for the NZ Grand Prix which was held last weekend at Manfield. Kieran Hodges, Mike from Wayne Vercoe Panelbeaters & Grant from Mag & Tyre Direct (in place of Stu James) had a great time !! Next up we have Mike Coulter, Chrissy Morrison & Fern Feaver off to the V8's in mid February.

STEWARTS POWERBASE PRE-SEASON MENS SOCCER TOURNAMENT
The 3rd Annual Tournament is being held in March with entries available to all club teams which participate in the local leagues. Entry forms will be available soon, but in the meantime any inquiries & initial team registrations can be sent to:

RED SOX MANAWATU DARTS TEAM
Captain Steve Fryer lead the 10-person Club team to victory in an away game against the Albert Sports Bar in November, with grateful thanks to the supporters that were also there. The return match is due to be played in February/March at the Clubrooms. Watch this space for details. |
