Albeit a wee bit late, a very warm welcome to Season 2016 to all club members - new and returning !
As you will now doubt have seen, we have a reinvigorated committee with lots of new enthusiastic faces, we have a new major sponsor, we have a refreshed relationship with Riverside RedSox Juniors, we have a revitalised serious football structure in place and we have a third netball team  . . .  which all augurs well for a tremendous season. Its great to see the efforts and achievements of our previous members being treated with the respect that they deserve with new faces continuing the growth and development of a unique and awesome club !

Whilst the season is still in its early stages its not too late to be taking the relevant precautions & preparations with warm up routines ! Over enthusiastic starts sometimes lead to inadequate warm-ups and resulting injuries - so please look after yourself and your team mates - check out the new ACC Sportsmart website which sets out complete warm-up routines

Club stalwart Nigel Barker has returned ( after x years) to coaching the 1st Team football and is being ably assisted by Scotty Taylor looking after the Rovers (Reserves) team.
Jess Green is our Football Convenor and Melissa Flannagan is our Netball Convenor for this season

The great news is the new sponsorship deal with Breakers Café (located in Rangitikei St) !! They also own Rosie OGradys Pub (located on the corner of Fitzherbert Ave & Ferguson St)
Part of the deal we have is that our members qualify for a Breakers Loyalty Card which we will be doubly using as our club membership card. The use of the card by members at these 2 establishments will entitle members to a 10% discount - of which 5% will be returned to the Club !! The cards will be arriving real soon and will include our Club Logo !!

To cover the logistics and legalities of enrolling our members for participation in the Breakers Loyalty Scheme we need to undertake some housekeeping so the Club Committee have agreed to include the club membership terms and conditions in this email to all members which will then automatically achieve enrolment unless a member specially requests otherwise.

So our 2016 membership terms and conditions are as follows:

By playing for a club sports team and paying their membership & sports fees a member declares that they:

• apply to join Red Sox Sports Club Inc and agree to abide by all its Rules and Policies
• agree to fully pay their membership and sports fees by the advised due dates
• agree to pay in full by the advised due date any other Fees or Fines
• agree to return at the end of the season, or earlier if they leave the club, any gear, clothing or equipment belonging to the Club
• agree to the Club retaining members personal details for the sole use by the Club and in obtaining any benefits with club sponsors
• agree to any digital images or videos of club members being tastefully used on the club website or for promotion of club activities
• agree to receive club communications by post, email and text 
• agree to conduct themselves whilst involved in club activities in a manner that reflects well on the club 

Should any member not agree with the above terms and conditions they are to send an email to registrar@redsox.co.nz specifically stating their full name, team name and what they disagree with
