Greetings Club Members: The Annual Bar Tab Nite is on this Saturday Nite and is legendary - a must attend for all club members - family & friends welcome also. The kitchen will be open and the courtesy van will be operating - call 0292 RED SOX Click on the links and below logos for rules for participating in the RockPaperScissors Champs and the Air Guitar Champs ALL Football teams are eligible for their $100 BarTab this year which is an awesome feat - congratulations and thanks from the Committee ! The Netball teams eligibility is still being sorted as their teams have had a later start than usual but no doubt they will be well represented as usual The Events Calendar for the Club has now been finalised for Season 2014 and we have a massive line-up of events available, ranging from Darts, Pool, Quiz Nite, Red Sox Idle and the return of the Netball Fillys Nite - click here for the details As many of you may know the club was initially established in 1970 as a softball club, with the introduction of football in the mid 1970s being lead by Wayne Vercoe and Alan Bailey. Alan has recently returned from living in Australia for many years and this week he celebrates his 70th birthday - so congratulations Alan from all club members, past & present and we wish you many more celebrations to come.
	Football: Teams are reminded to ensure that results and team cards are actioned as per new process immediately after each game.	Netball: Good Luck to all our Red Sox teams for start of league games on Saturday !

	Football United - EPL Double Header - Saturday 26 July Whoops - public sale of tickets starts next Monday 19 May* (not the 12th May as stated in last weeks newsletter)* If you want to be included in a BLOCK booking send email NOW with your details to: epl@edsox.co.nz The BLOCK booking will be made asap so act now to avoid disappointment. 	*Todays Smiler:* Eleven people were hanging on a rope, under a helicopter - 10 men and 1 woman. The rope was not strong enough to carry them all, so they decided that one had to leave, because otherwise they were all going to fall. They weren't able to choose that person, until the woman gave a very touching speech. She said that she would voluntarily let go of the rope, because, as a woman, she was used to giving up everything for her husband and kids or for men in general, and was used to always making sacrifices with little in return. As soon as she finished her speech, all the men started clapping . . ;-)

Usual Club Prizegiving starts at 6pm. EVERY club team is eligible to receive a free Drink voucher and a Rose & Crown Player of the Day Award, entitling the winner to a FREE meal at the Rose & Crown Pub in Terrace End. Every Saturday at your Clubrooms:
Pool Tables, Darts, Table Tennis, Freeview, Live Sport
Bar - Lynda, Clubrooms Kitchen Meals - Maria & Roberto.

For every bag sold at Caltex Fitzherbert, Caltex Main Street and Caltex Feilding your club will receive 30c

So whenever you or your family, friends, neighbours, work colleagues etc need Ice or Firewood make sure they purchase from these generous suppliers
