Greetings Club Members
As mentioned in a previous Newsletter, the Wrinklies are having their 25th season this year !! This unique and treasurable moment in time is being celebrated on Saturday 31 August with a few suitable events. If you would like to help them so celebrate, please follow the below links and help enjoy this fanatastic achievement - all are most welcome.
On the same night at the Clubrooms the Latinos are having another Fiesta Latina night with Sth American dancing, music and cuisine - that based on previous years, will be an awesome experience also.
Plus a few teams will be celebrating their last games - so wow, prepare yourself well for a great night !!
But wait, theres more !! Before we even get to next Saturday night, we have a wee wallaby culling event happening this Saturday night with the ABs game from Welington being screened LIVE at the Clubrooms.

Football:
Congratulations to the Mens 1sts not only their win last Saturday, but also for the manner of the win with some execellent football being played. They need to repeat the result tomorrow to stay in the hunt for the league title - Good Luck fellas. The team would welcome your support at Memorial Park for the 2:45pm kick-off |
Netball:
All the Netball teams have now completed their round-robin league games and the next 2 weeks are for semis and finals. Good Luck to all our Red Sox teams ! |

U19 Trials
Sunday 25 August 1:30pm @ Skoglund Park
Trials will be held from 1:30 to 3:30pm to select a U19 Mens Football Team to play in the annual Upper Hutt U19 Tournament on the weekend of Sat/Sun 12/13 October.
All interested players from Red Sox and other local PN clubs are welocome to attend.

Todays Smiler - How to convey a message without speech:
Margaret, the church gossip, and self-appointed monitor of the church's morals, kept sticking her nose into other people's business. Several members did not approve of her extra-curricular activities, but feared her enough to maintain their silence.
She made a mistake, however, when she accused Frank, a new member, of being an alcoholic after she saw his old pickup parked in front of the town's only bar one afternoon. She emphatically told Frank (and several others) that everyone seeing it there would know what he was doing !
Frank, a man of few words, stared at her for a moment and just turned and walked away.
He didn't explain, defend, or deny. He said nothing . . . .
Later that evening, Frank quietly parked his pickup in front of Margaret's house, walked home ....
And left it there all night . . . . |
