COURTESY VAN AVAILABLE
An enthusiasitic crowd was assembled at your Clubrooms last Saturday to witness the demolition of the Irish, who must have known something was up, by wearing their score on their jersey. We mixed up the Try Scorer picks last week, doing 1st & Last Try Scorer selections and true to recent form - we correctly picked the second to last try scorer. We have a new picker this Saturday for the return of the Super 15, with the main game being Crusaders v Hurricanes, so hopefully we can get back into the money to provide a BarTab for all in attendance !
Also this Saturday at your Clubrooms, we have our Darts Singles Champs, with separate trophies at stake for Men & Women. Get your teams together and have a go, as there is always plenty of helpful tips available, if you are new to the sport.
The following Saturday, 7 July, we have the annual Quiz Night, with great prizes up for grabs, including for best team name and best dressed team. See the above ad for entry details.
And we have heaps more events planned too . . . . click here for more coming events on the 2012 Club Calendar
Its not quite on the Events Calendar yet, but plans are in the pipeline for an OLD TIMERS DAY to be held soon for Football & Netball, open to all current and past members of your club and any club that is part of your Clubs history from mergers etc. So this includes the likes of:
Football: St Andrews, Corinthians, Winchester, Glen Carron, Thistle, PN City, Manawatu United, Kiwi United, Rose City, Riverside, Manawatu AFC . . . . . click here to see your Clubs 'family tree'
The likely date is Saturday 4 August 2012, but is subject to confirmation. To Register your interest in attending please send an email with the following details to: email@example.com
[Full Name, nick name if any, what club(s) were you involved with, what years, what role(s) etc]
As usual your weekly Club Prizegiving starts at 6pm and every club team is eligible to receive a Rose & Crown Player of the Day Award, entitling the winner to a free meal at the Rose & Crown Pub in Terrace End. Every Saturday at your Clubrooms the two Pool Tables & four Dart Boards are operational and we have Freeview and SkyTV. We also have a table tennis table available - so bring the family along and have a great time ! Maria & Roberto provide a selection of great value meals from the Clubrooms Kitchen.

The Club will again be entering football and netball teams and we have again secured a large block booking of accommodation at the Avenue Hotel. To make sure of your place, please register your interest now by sending an email advising sport, team, and accommodation needs to firstname.lastname@example.org
At the 2011 tournament, we had 1 x Mens 35+ team and 2 x Mens 45+ team.
It is now very likely we will have those same teams again plus an extra Mens 35+ team and an extra 45+ team.
SO, be warned - DO NOT DELAY, get your accommodation secured now, as First In First Served !
It does seem like its ages away, but this is THE BEST accommodation spot and we need to confirm bookings early to secure the rooms - NOW works for us !!
Painting & Decorating ?
If you have any internal/external painting needs, we have a club member looking for work to help pay for a family overseas trip - send email to email@example.com
Who runs Your Club ?
We will continue our series of pen portraits when some Team Managers find the time to submit them. If you haven't seen your team Managers portrait - given them a hurry up please !
WARNING: NO PAY = NO PLAY
All Team Managers are being contacted this week, as any player that is unfinancial after 30 June 2012 will NOT be allowed to play until they fully pay their fees and any team that uses an unfinancial player may lose fixtures and/or points
