Wow what an awesome event ! Forget about the TV Show, this was the REAL DEAL !
The inaugural RED SOX IDOL elimination karaoke competition literally had the ridiculous and the sublime, with some great
performances with which the large crowd went wild. From Metallicas' 'expose' and 'Girls Just Wanna Have Fun' to Minty with his tear rendering version of 'This Is My Song' for his wife, this was a magic night and extends the awesome arsenal of events that Red Sox promotes. The standout performance which proved to be the clincher that brought the house down and the judges to their knees was the 'Master' with his rendition of Neil Diamonds 'Holly Holy'. To the audience chants of:
"One Waynee Vercoe, theres only one Waynee Vercoe"  . . .  Club Legend and current Patron,
WAYNE VERCOE was crowned RED SOX IDOL 2007.
