After the disappointment of their Chatham Cup 1st round 1-3 loss to Napier City Rovers last Saturday, Stewarts Red Sox Manawatu had a welcome return to form with a 7-1 win against Feilding. Whereas in the Napier game where they had 5 clear chances to score but only converted 1, (Napier had 4 and scored 3), the Red Sox strikers certainly found the net in this game. Thanks to ex YoungHeart Manawatu Coach Bob Sova for helping out with the squad as Coach Aaron Clegg was away.

The annual club Rock Paper Scissors Champs were held with just over 100 contestants with Synergy Netball team member Tegan Mabey (pictured on the right) crowned 2013 Champion. Runner up was Valentina Miranda, from the Latinos football team. This was the 3rd year in a row that a Latinos team supporter has been in the final ! Unfortunately the 2013 Air Guitar Champs were unable to be completed and will now be held at a later date

| NZ MASTERS - WANGANUI FEBRUARY 2013 |

Red Sox had 3 mens football teams participating in the NZ Masters Games from Friday 8 to Sunday 10 February 2012. This was one of the clubs more successful sojourns to the Games with one of the 35+ teams (United) winning bronze as did the Wrinklies in the 45+ league (especially meritorius given that most of the team are 50+)

Congratulations to Team Nagy on winning the Nagy Fours Darts Champs. In defeating last years winners (Team Chucky) the 'bros' have together now won the title 4 times since its inception in 1988. Eight teams contested this years event including Team Fryer which had the father-son combo of Steve & Luke.

Congratulations to Red Sox Saints on their winning the Div3 Knockout Cup Final 3-1 v Plunderers. It was an exciting game and all 4 goals were 'top shelf'. The win enabled the Saints to complete the season treble having previously won the Div3 league and Burger Fuel Challenge
